Miyawaki tiny forests

We have planted probably the first Miyawaki in forest in the Baltic, spring 2024. Forest is planted as pilot project to understand how all system function. We use mainly native tree and shrub species based on mixed Kurland and South Sweden vegetation and also we include some central European species as they already approaching region. Some diagnostic species are missing due to unavailability of plant material at the planting time.
We think that there also will be very important to add the diagnostic species  herb layer by seeding. We plan to collect seeds and seed in autumn 2024

We plant about 112 sq. m plot in perfect circle. In the middle is a memory room with few logs from ancient forest felled nearby. There are planted 3-4 plants per sq.m
